Well, that's quite something. I talk like an oldie when I say this, but I do wish we were in the times when our teacher was with us exactly like a parent is, and in more ways than a parent, sometimes. They used to have such a level of respect in our society, and now sadly, teaching is the "last option" people choose when there is no other job available in Pakistan.

DeleteAnd on the other hand teachers are like they are here to just complete our course and then they vanished from a student's life.
But, I personally use to manage stay in touch with my teacher, not all but few ones, and one of them is a Psychologist and you can imagine the benefit when I contact her in my critical times. :)
If i become a legitimate policy maker, i would target three things at initial level; Juidicary, police and teachers. Unleashing the 3rd one mongst those, making this profession the most desireable and delicious one would be the utmost need, not much only changes in the incumbent approach, id-est, Only the toppers should be given an oppprtunity to sit in the required exam. Plus, they should be paid next to an enterpreneur, high class salary. It's the neer of the hour. Let it not be ascertained by our succeeding posterity, that we, the leaders of the day, lead to tona catastrophe, a cataclysm. Without hardworking grows nothing but weeds.
